Serpensortia!

Hello,

In This Post
  • Sonshine
  • Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
  • Readers Response
So sonshine. This was a great time! Favorite concert was definitely Thousand Foot Krutch. Great band. I wish that Falling Up would have been there this year but for the last few years they have been unable to make it for some reason. It happens. Don't really wanna say much on the subject of this because it's more of a go experience it type of thing. If any of you ever get the chance to go to a large music festival such as Sonshine take the chance! It is a great time and very fun thing to do with friends!

During sonshine I went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Now, I am a huge fan of the books and The Half Blood Prince was my favorite out of them all. Because of this I expected to be dissapointed about this movie. I was very dissapointed as I expected, but that is because I was comparing it to the book. If you do that it always happens. It was a GREAT movie for sure. Here are a couple of things that annoyed me the most about the book to movie transition. SPOILER ALERT DON'T READ THE REST OF THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SPOILED! The first thing that annoyed me was that Luna fixed Harry's nose. In the book Tonks did it. Now just that fact didn't annoy me it was the fact that they had several of the Order members (and others I believe) protecting the school, but they showed none of them in the movie. The second thing that annoyed me was that they never really told you that Ginny and Harry dated. They kiss once in the movie. In the book they have a longer relationship than what the movie gives you to think. Lastly, They didn't show the funeral. How could you skip Dumbledore's funeral!? Now of course there were more things that bothered me about the book to movie transition, but those are the top three.

Two questions today for the Readers Response. First is what did you think about the new Harry Potter movie? Second is what is your favorite Harry Potter Spell?

Thanks for reading and remember to comment and follow!

Hay... Is for Horses!

Hello,
It is now again time for another post on Pied Rant, the blog no one reads yet.

In This Post
  • Adventures of Hauling Hay
  • Readers Response
  • Questions Of The Week
  • Finishing Notes
So today, I woke up at 5:30 A.M. to drive an hour over to my aunts house to help them haul hay. This is the second year I've done this and I must say it is quite fun. Probably the biggest workout I get all year. At first you're thinking "Well this is easy," and throwing the hay all over, but you'll soon discover that you get tired fast. In the picture to your right is a lot what it looks like. The only difference is it's a trailer with a flat bed like that pulled by a modern day truck. After picking up all the hay and stacking it up like that we then had to go back and unload. This is where the fun part came in for me. I got to climb up to the top of the hay pile and throw them down for my cousin, Andrew, to stack. Now like I said earlier, at first it doesn't seem bad, but it gets tiring fast! I made the mistake of not pacing myself. Although this was a big workout it was a really fun thing to do. I wouldn't want to do it every day, but to do once a year is fun.

For this week's reader's response I want you all to tell me something that is very hard, but fun to do every once and awhile. For me it was helping haul hay.

Questions of the Week!

Now I know I said I was going to use the random question generator, but I now realize those questions are ridiculous. Here is the only question I have gotten so far.

Q: What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done in public?
A: Well honestly, I haven't done a ton of embarrassing things in public. Probably the worst thing that has happened to me would be something like farting really loud in a public place. There was this one time where I was crowd surfing at a Thousand Foot Krutch concert and as I was above everyone someone pulled my pants down. That is about it.

To finish up I just really wanna say that you all should submit questions to me so I don't only have one in each post! I wanna try to have up to seven in a post each week. Please spread the link to your friends to try to get them to read. I will try to post every day on a variety of things anywhere from what I did today to the latest news. Thanks for reading!

Disc Golf And Such...

Hello,
Welcome to the second installment of Pied Rant. The blog where we talk about whatever the hell we want.

In This Post
  • Disc Golf
  • Segregation and Hypocrites

"Disc golf
Disc golf (also called Frisbee Golf) is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.""*

Disc golf is an extremely fun sport. To add on to what the object of the game is from above, You need to get from the start to the end, which is a "hole."
This is a very fun, and relatively cheap game to start out on. Disks cost anywhere from $8 to $40. If you are just looking to play for fun the cheap disks will work very well. I personally do not have a lot of experience in this sport, but the times I have, got me thinking that I need get my own disks and start playing more. It is a very fun, and addictive sport. Click Here for a site that I found has anything you would ever want to get started in this sport. I would suggest looking it up on Youtube and even googleing a place around your house to try it out! Lots of places have free courses!

So imagine this. You are at camp when you're young and once a week you get the chance to go swimming. That day finally comes but as soon as you get into the pool you are asked to leave because you are of a different race. That is exactly what happened to some kids camping in Philadelphia. Click Here for the story. Now I understand that people today are still racist, but the thing that really got me was that the club where the pool is advertises as having OPEN MEMBERSHIP. If you are going to only allow certain races in the pool do not declare open membership. That is just stupid and is just asking to be sued!

So as the readers response for now I want you to tell me what you think about that? Read through the story and just comment a mini blog to me on it.

Thank you anyone who is reading this and please remember to ask me questions in the comments! I need to get 7 a week from you all to answer in the blogs! Tomorrow I will be using the random question generator to do the first installment of that section. Comment or e-mail me (Link to contact information at the bottom of this post) any suggestions and comments about Pied Rant!

Welcome to Pied Rant!

Hello,
Welcome to Pied Rant! I'm quite excited to start this blog. I used to do a lot of forum and website design. You might be thinking "If he is a designer why is he using a pre-made template?" Well this is because I do not know how to code. If anyone wishes to make me a template or have me design something and you make it possible by coding it please contact me.

In This Post:
  • The explanation of the name of this blog.
  • Stupid things that happen while texting.
  • Readers Response Question!
  • Finishing Notes

Now to explain the point of this blog. The word pied means "of two or more colors in blotches." It is usually used when referring to colors on animals. In the way I am using it it means random rant. I got the idea for the name from the poem "Pied Beauty" by Gerard Manley Hopkins.

The first thing I wanna write about is the stupid things teens do while texting. Click here for the story. Now, I've walked into a wall texting before, I will admit that, but I gotta ask aren't you usually looking down while you're texting? In any case I can say for sure, I hope this teen doesn't text and drive. She had an something like that happen to her while she was walking and texting I can't imagine what would happen if she was behind the wheel while she texted.

Now that brings me to my first readers response! Now I realize I will probably get no responses for this question, but I wish to ask this anyways. What stupid things have you done while texting? Walk into a wall? Drive into a snowbank? Let me know in a comment below.

I am hoping this will be the shortest blog I ever wright. To finish up I want to ask you, the readers, to do something for me. I want to do a "Questions Of the Week." I need you guys to always ask me questions in a comment or an e-mail (View "Contact Me" below). Once a week I wanna answer seven questions (one for each day of the week) and also have you all answer the same questions. Untill I get enough I will be using what is asked and also the "Random Question" feature on this blog program. Now everyone have a great night and don't forget to follow me! Button in the side bar.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Pokesav Request

Hello,
First of all let me say this. Please do not flame this post with comments about how it is shameful to hack. I will only create Pokemon that have legit stats.

All Event Pokemon (such as Deoxys and Shayman) I WILL NOT create. These are event Pokemon for a reason and are suppose to be rare.

Guidlines:
  • I will only make you 6 pokemon a month.
  • You must give me the the *EV and **IV points you want
  • If you do not state a level you wish your Pokemon to be I will assume you want them at level 100.
  • I will post a comment with your code. The code will have your name, A summary of your request, and then your code posted for Diamond and Pearl.
  • If you are request a code for items, I will not give you items to unlock events to get Pokemon such as Darkrai. That item is acquired through an event.
Note: All codes will be created in Pokesav for use with the Action Replay. I do not test the codes. I do not make codes for Pokemon Platinum.

*EV: Effort Value; Each stat can have a total of 255 points. The total EV points a pokemon can have if 510. I will create Pokemon that follow these guidelines.
**IV: Individual Value; Each stat can have a total of 31. Although it is possible to get each stat to 31 IV points it is very unlikely. I will create Pokemon with all stats at 31, but to be fair I suggest only having one or two at 31 and the rest spread out with their stats.
